Hello everyone,

I am using this space to tell you a bit about myself and my experience in the sports world.

My name is Katerina Tsygourova, I am 24 years old, and I have been playing tennis since I was a child.

My first experiences with this wonderful sport goes back to when I was a little girl. I played on a court located in the condominium where I lived with my parents. From that court, and over the next 20 years, I hit countless balls and traveled to many different places.

It’s not always easy being far from home and from my loved ones.

However, all of this has allowed me to grow and build a solid identity, constantly learning the value of sacrifice.

I’ve had the precious fortune of turning my greatest passion into a job. Day by day, step by step, with perseverance and a lot of training. Suffering through injuries, pain, tears, and exhaustion from endless travels, sweat, and hard work.

I have celebrated immensely for my victories and learned how to face the great sorrow of defeats, keeping my passion intact and never losing focus. With the constant desire to keep fighting, to become the best version of myself every day, both as an athlete and as a person.

My days are very full, in addition to many hours of training, I work as a coach with several boys and girls, and I also manage to carve out time for studying. In 2024 I got a bachelor in Sport and Science in Pegaso University based in Italy, and I am now pursuing the several curses to get the Swiss Tennis National Coach C level.

Together with my coaches, I have set specific goals and a schedule of national and international tournaments, hoping to continue my growth and improve my ranking.

My greatest desire is to one day create my own small academy to train and help other young people who are chasing the same dream as me.
